The construction method allows you to adapt the area and height of the 3D meccano to the volume of the designed building.

The construction method, consisting of linear parts (beams and pillars) and sandwich panels (facades, floors and roofs), does not require any machinery for the handling of parts during the assembly process.

In the construction system every profile, beam, pillar, panel or purlin has been machined with drills, casts or grooving with the purpose of guaranteeing the correct positioning of every element and facilitate its assembly with an ordinary screwdriver.

In the construction system all the fixing points of the wooden meccano are solved with stainless steel screws with metric thread #10. For the remaining parts (purlins, facade sheathing…) it has been simplified to unique crown screws.

The method solves in the simplest way the joints between the pillars and beams of the resistant 3D framework. The assembly, part by part, makes the building process so simple that allows inexperienced people to perform the construction. The verification of the proper assembly of every joint is simple and straightforward.

The building process of the meccano and enclosures is quick, shortening the usual times in traditional construction. The time invested in the prototype house (85 m2) for the assembly of the meccano, panels and exterior sheathing was of two weeks.

The need to protect the sandwich panels of the enclosure from the elements demands to equip the facade with a ventilated sheathing, which allows a differentiated treatment of the designed volumes and areas.

This sheating can be done with:
a- Viroc, a wood-cement board suitable for exteriors and which allows different modularities, colours and textures.
b- Prodema
c- Formica
d- Ceramics
e- Plastic cladding
f- Metallic cladding…

The system, based on the machining of natural raw materials minimizes the environmental impact, both in its manufacturing process and in its manipulation and assembly on site. The machining of every part prevents improvisation and adjustments on site, thus eliminating waste materials.
